Cycling from Palma del Rio to La Herreria
I left Palma del Rio since I had been ordered to by the policia. No problem, wildcamping is not allowed in Spain anyway, and the "famous" white men are everywhere, and have a mobilephone to.
Just outside town I had a nice coffee and a long chat with a spanish guy who actually is a german guy but actually2 is an argentinian guy. He was over from Argentina because he needed (and had had) an operation at his knee and has an spanish healthinsurance. He was recovering now in one of the houses he owns here in Palma del Rio. In one week he would return to Argentina where he runs a travelagency for motorbikers, who, according to him, easily pay up to € 10.000 per week for an allin-trip. And in the meantime I had two nice coffees. So let's go on now.
Because I had seen some advertisements for appartments to rent I decided to visit Fuente Palmera along the way. If that would be a nice town to stay for a winterstop I would maybe decide to do so (later, it is only just september now).
But I was surprised by the hills I had to conquer, they are really Though here ! After one week of non-cycling I was not in the best condition to cycle them, I had to push them mainly.
A wild boar that had made a miscalculation ... Or is it a Huge Rat, or a wolf ? The teeth make me doubt one way, and the size another way ...

The really steep dip down to the Arroyo del Tamujar, which was just as steep at the other side ...
Then I entered Fuente Palmera and made a tour to judge it. I did see some promising areas at the south, but it is so steep there that I decided not to "fall down" there to investigate that areas. I was sure I would have a very hard job to get up again ...
And I did not like the town either, so I decided to only do some shopping to be prepared for a next wildcamp stay.
But I did find a nice terrass in a somewhere-street, and took a nice rest. Tip : "Somewhere Street" is a very nice series of documentaries of NHK, japan, about everydays life worldwide at youtube.
I left Fuente Palmera cycling north at a very straight, so boring road, but I was going downhill now. That area in the north, of the Rio Gualdalquivir, is more interesting since rivers always attract people, and so activities, etc. This was only a detour, as described already.
But to lighten up today's track I decided to visit La Herreria, although knowing there most likely is Nothing to do, buy or enjoy there. On the other hand I know by experience that there is Always a bar, and maybe it would serve me a cold beer. In the Netherlands is an organisation called "Loesje" and they are famous for there posters. One of my favorites is the one that says "In een dwarsstraat kom je vaak de mooiste dingen tegen". But there indeed was nothing to enjoy here.
Except for the yearly party that was held in the parc, and where I was welcomed like a hero when people saw me and my OnTheRoad 4.0 🖱️. There was ofcourse very loud music and (but) I was offered lots of beers to compensate for that. The party would be all day, moving to the townsquare later that evening. Besides that I now was in a nice parc where I would like to camp.
However, I was explained there is no watertap and there is no cafe nor mercado here. So I knew I would have to leave tomorrow, unless someone would supply me with new water. Or I would have to leave the day after tomorrow because of lack of food. Then I was not in the mood to return to Fuente Palmera to buy some.
But at that outdoorbar I met Raul, and he was very interested in me and my situation. He offered me a beer, and then a second beer, after which I told him I would now really first walk down the parc to judge it and maybe to put up camp. But when I started to walk down he stopped me and told me to follow him, with all my stuff included.
Although a bit in doubt I pushed the OnTheroad 4.0 up and out of the parc.
Where Raul was already waiting, next to a very expensive impressive Masserati suv.
He started that car, raced around the corner (there are only 3 corners anyway), waited for me at the townsquare and told me to park.
Then he opened a door of a house, told me to enter and explained me I could stay there as long as I wanted.
This was actually his hometown, and all his family and his wifes family are living here. He had bought this house to have it renovated, so that he and his family could stay here sometimes close to there relatives without having to drive late at night. They now are living in Fuente Palmera where they have a new house build. He then explained me he is a millionaire since some time ago when he sold one of his companies.
We had a very nice afternoon with a lot of his friends, and later they left to prepare for the eveningparty. Raul told me I should take everything available in the house, including all drinks (a lot) and food (not a lot). "All is for free, just enjoy it" he said. I told him about my foodsituation and that I would probably leave tomorrow for that reason. At 20h00 he surprised me by bringing me a bag with all kind of food, also for free. I was speechless for all this, and was looking forward to the evening.

I cycled only 20kms with only 81vms (since I am still cycling upstream), including the towntrip, so it was a relaxed day.
